Tali, the beautiful mother of these two wonderful men, recently celebrated a special birthday. Special because it was celebrated right after her successful kidney transplant. If you understand Hebrew, you can watch this video which aired on Israeli Channel 2, about the transplant. After being here in the US and not seeing her sons for 2.5 months, they came to spend two weeks with her and to go home together. This photo session was a birthday gift to her.

This young lady recently celebrated her Bas Mitzvah and came in for some portraits to mark the occasion. I love that her mother finds it important to document all the milestones ages for her boys AND her girls. A couple of years ago we had a "non-upsherin" third birthday session with her little sister, as well. All the kids have equal status on their portrait wall!

I got to start back up with one of my favorite families. The M. family has been coming since Aliza was 4 months old. Now she's 2.5 and the big sister to little Yaffa. I can always count on their mom to bring them with the best outfits and accessories. And with two girls, it's double the fun!

This little guy is a special one, because his mama holds a special place in my heart. Naomi was that dream babysitter and friend who really loves your kids just as much as you do. When I left my kids with her (and that was often!), I knew that they were even happier than when they were with me. But life moves on and we watched her grow and mature and now become a mama to a beautiful baby of her own. Sniff, sniff. Hard to believe, but here's the evidence.

Drew was here back when he was 18 months old and now he's an all grown up 3-and-a-half. Such a funny little boy's boy (is that what you call a little man's man?) who knows what he likes. When I asked him if he likes animals, he very firmly told me, "No. I like SPORTS!" And then he demonstrated his finest hockey moves.

These two cuties have familiar faces - they are in my Benny's preschool class. And once again, a perfect family session at the beach. I've said it more than once, but I just absolutely love the way a family dynamic comes through when everyone is hanging out together on the beach. This bunch of gorgeous and adorable kids were just such a treat for me to hang out with. The little guy is having his upsherin in just a few weeks, but I think his current hairstyle is just too cute. And the grin just goes right along with it. I think he had as much fun as I did, because at the end of the session, he asked if I want to come to his house!

This little guy is a brand new sitter - and just in time. His mother desperately wanted a picture of him in his fancy outfit looking like a little doll. I think we got just what she wanted in the first image and then we got to have some fun with him in some other outfits. And isn't that smile just contagious?!

Wow, this guy was such a breeze. Besides for being gorgeous, he is just so easy-going. We became friends in minutes and this guy just did exactly what he was told. Stayed where he was put and just kept looking straight at the camera. I've NEVER seen a 3-year-old behave like that. I think I need to hire him from time to time because this session was the way we wish all of them would be.

I'm partial to long dark hair and Shmuly certainly has a head full of it. And it's long enough that his mother is even thinking of donating it. I think that is such a special way to commemorate a milestone like this one.
